Home Cold Remedies

Feeling under the weather? I know I am and I am trying to stay healthy and keep my sanity! I found a few easy helpful hints to fight a cold this season:

  1. Blow your nose often. Don’t sniffle it back in to your nose and throat area.. it needs to come out. Make sure to wash your hands after every blow
  2. Stay rested
  3. Gargle with warm salt water or To reduce the tickle in your throat, try an astringent gargle — such as tea that contains tannin — to tighten the membranes. Or use a thick, viscous gargle made with honey, popular in folk medicine
  4. Drink hot or warm liquids. This will loosen anything in your head and sinus cavity, as well as soothe it
  5. Apply hot or cold packs around your congested areas. Either temperature will help you feel better
