Eating prior to exercise gives your body the necessary fuel to stay strong throughout a workout. Eating too much can leave you feeling sluggish or worse. In regards to eating before a work out a good rule to follow is waiting 2-3 hours after eating a small meal, 3-4 hours after a large meal, and small snacks should be eaten 1 hour prior to exercise. A few good snack ideas: Energy bars, fruit smoothies, and granola bars.
